We want to go even further together – towards a world where more people wake up excited to start work. At Teamtailor, our culture of transparency, collaboration, and celebration of difference shapes everything we do. Our Product team brings together people from a wide range of backgrounds, working as a tight-knit unit where every voice is valued.
Designer Role at Teamtailor – Empowering Product Design and User Experience
As a Designer at Teamtailor, you’ll be a vital part of our Product team, working hand-in-hand with both developers and your fellow designers. We believe in alignment and autonomy, with all members empowered to shape how we achieve our goals. You’ll collaborate closely during focused six-week cycles, working in small teams of three (two developers and one designer) to design, build, and ship meaningful product enhancements our users will love.
After each development cycle, we have a two-week cooldown period featuring Innovation Week and Improvement Week – letting you try out fresh ideas, explore experiments, and polish details across the platform’s interface and workflows. This is your chance to have fun, grow, and make a real impact on tens of thousands of users every day.
Key Responsibilities – UI/UX Design and Collaboration
- Design intuitive, accessible, and engaging user interfaces that delight and empower our users.
- Craft clear design solutions, providing assets, prototypes, and specifications for seamless development hand-off.
- Collaborate closely with developers throughout the project cycle, gathering feedback and rapidly iterating on designs.
- Advocate for impactful design decisions, always putting user needs and accessibility at the forefront.
- Contribute to our shared design system, maintaining consistency and elevating the overall product experience.
- Embrace feedback from users, colleagues, and stakeholders to refine and validate your work.
What We’re Looking For – Product Designer Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated experience as a UI/UX Designer, Product Designer, or similar role in digital product design.
- A strong portfolio of web or SaaS product design demonstrating user-centred thinking and creative problem-solving.
- Proficiency in modern design and prototyping tools (e.g. Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite or similar).
- Ability to collaborate across disciplines, communicate design rationale, and adjust to feedback with an open mind.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards and a passion for inclusive design.
- Bonus: Experience working directly with development teams, especially in environments using human-centred design methodologies.
Work Culture and Designer Support – Diversity, Inclusion, and Remote Flexibility
We’re close to 50 people in the Product team, located across Sweden, Poland, Turkey, Spain, Portugal, and Hungary. We offer a flexible hybrid approach to work – you’re welcome to work remotely or from our offices, with priority given to candidates based near Stockholm, Gothenburg, Linköping, or Kraków. For senior designers (5+ years’ experience), we consider applications from other European locations.
Collaboration, kindness, and personal growth are core to how we work. We regularly organise self-directed team trips through our Workaway concept, powering creativity and deep relationships across boundaries. Read more about how we build a connected and inspiring remote culture here.
